About me

I am a qualified homeopath, registered with the Society of Homeopaths. I came to study homeopathy after years of using it successfully myself and with my four children. As I became more and more confident in my home-prescribing I also became increasingly fascinated and wanted to learn more. I spent four years, from 2007 to 2011, studying homeopathy at the School of Homeopathy. It was a tremendous privilege, a 'University of Life", and I learned a great deal about myself as well as about homeopathy.  As well as seeing clients I work with students of homeopathy: I am a Core Team Member for the School of Homeopathy in Stroud, UK and I am a tutor and teacher on both their Attendance and Home Study Courses. I supervise students in their clinical practice.

Before becoming a homeopath I spent many years as a teacher and mentor. I began my teaching career as a science teacher but quickly went on to work with children with Learning Difficulties and spent many years working with children who found it difficult to access school for one reason or another. I bring much of my experience and learning from these years to my homeopathy.

I started using homeopathy myself in my early 20s when I was suffering from menstrual irregularities that persisted despite various interventions where I felt I’d been poked and prodded about to no avail. Fortunately, a friend suggested homeopathy, something I’d not heard of at that point in time, and sure enough, it came to the rescue! That started a conviction that conventional medicine doesn’t always have all the answers. It can often seem invasive, sometimes even aggressive and can leave unwanted side effects.

Homeopathy can sometimes be complementary to conventional medicines and sometimes alternative. It acts gently and in accordance with our body, mind and spirit. Homeopathy, for me, has become more than a system of medicine but a part of my way of life. I believe that we should do our best to live in harmony with our planet and take as little as possible from it. I believe that we are more than body and mind and that we have an energy body or soul body that interacts with the world around us. When we become ill we’ve become out of balance and remedies from the natural world can help us to regain harmony and health. Health allows us to be our most creative selves.

I see people of all ages with a broad range of physical, emotional and mental symptoms. I like to spend time listening to your story and your medical history. You know better than anyone else, from first-hand experience, about your medical condition. I see your treatment as a journey where we will walk alongside each other to try to get to the core of what's causing your ill health. My aim is to help you regain the best level of health possible.

I hold clinics at The Plymouth Naturopathic Clinic in Manamead and at Calstock Therapy Hub in Calstock, Cornwall and remotely e.g. via Skype and Zoom. I do also, in certain circumstances, arrange to see people in their own homes in and around Calstock. Please enquire about this.

"I will not rescue you. For you are not powerless. I will not fix you. For you are not broken. I will not heal you. For I see you in your wholeness.

I will walk with you through the darkness. As you remember your light.”

Sheree Bliss Tilsley

“Health is our heritage, our right. It is the complete and full union between soul, mind and body.”

Dr Edward Bach

"The art of healing comes from nature not from the physician. Therefore the physician must start from nature with an open mind.”

Parcacelsus

“Everything is energy and that's all there is to it. Match the frequency of the reality you want and you cannot help get that reality. It can be no other way. This is not philosphy. This is physics.”

Albert Einstein
